Fuse Stress

Test Support

Aircraft certification programs typically include static and fatigue testing of primary structural components to verify that material yield does not occur at Limit load, failure does not occur at Ultimate load, and that adequate service life will be achieved. These tests are usually combined with coupon testing and/or component testing to determine allowable design loads. Test Plan reports must be FAA approved prior to testing while test results reports must also be submitted after testing is complete.

Aerosciences previous test experience can be a valuable source of assistance when selecting applicable tests, planning test procedures, and creating test reports for certification. Our engineers have composed test plans and test results reports for static and fatigue testing of structures and systems and functional testing of systems.

Aerosciences can also provide FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER) services relating to test coordination and witnessing (see DER section).
